2023 Acura MDX SH-AWD w/A-Spec Package in St. Louis

The 2023 Acura MDX A-Spec SH-AWD immediately communicates its driver-focused character through responsive steering and a chassis that feels planted on any road.

Enthusiasts who crave more than mere transportation will appreciate how this SUV transforms daily driving into a rewarding experience. The A-Spec trim features a sport steering wheel and well-bolstered, heated and ventilated front sport seats, letting you feel connected on every journey. For drivers in St. Louis facing unpredictable weather or winding suburban roads, the SH-AWD system ensures poised handling and traction year-round. Those who notice the subtle nuances of steering effort, chassis response, and interior ambiance will find the MDX A-Spec aligns perfectly with their priorities.

The 3.5L V6 SOHC i-VTEC 24V engine delivers a stirring balance of strength and refinement, partnered seamlessly with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration is brisk and linear, while paddle shifters add a layer of engagement for those who want to take control. The SH-AWD system cleverly distributes torque, especially at corner exit, giving the SUV a planted and agile feel rare for its class. Steering is precise, with just enough weight to inspire confidence without feeling heavy. Brake pedal feel is progressive and reassuring, encouraging assertive driving when needed but always remaining smooth and easy to modulate. The suspension tuning strikes a thoughtful balance-firm enough to minimize body roll, yet supple enough to absorb broken pavement without drama, leaving both driver and passengers comfortable on long trips.

Safety technology in the MDX enhances confidence while never intruding on driver involvement. The Lane Keeping Assist System can gently nudge the SUV back into its lane but leaves primary control in your hands, working as a subtle safety net. Electronic Stability Control steps in progressively, providing a calm, unobtrusive correction if you push the limits in an emergency maneuver. Brake assist and ABS are tuned for predictable, linear intervention, ensuring the SUV remains sure-footed during sudden stops. The surround view provided by the rear parking camera and rain-sensing wipers further elevate situational awareness during spirited or everyday driving.

A-Spec trim brings an array of performance-inspired comforts and technology to the cabin. The Acura/ELS Studio 3D premium audio system with 16 speakers transforms every drive into a concert-like experience, while navigation with 3D View ensures you never miss a turn. Perforated Premium Milano Leather Trimmed Seats offer ventilation and heating, delivering year-round comfort.

Compared to rivals like the Audi Q7 and Lexus RX, the MDX A-Spec stands out with its sharper steering feel and more engaging chassis tuning. While the Q7 impresses with interior luxury and the RX with serene comfort, the Acura finds a unique middle ground, blending athleticism with daily usability.

Does this SUV feel composed on the highway? Absolutely-the MDX A-Spec tracks straight and absorbs expansion joints with poise, making long drives relaxing. How comfortable is the ride on broken pavement? The four-wheel independent suspension and well-cushioned seats ensure comfort without sacrificing road feel. What kind of warranty coverage is available? The original Acura powertrain warranty covers 6 years or 70,000 miles for added peace of mind.
